The other day, we went to Okazaki Castle Park to watch Bushoutai (Groups that impersonate warlords and other historical figures from their locality) show.

Bushoutai in Okazaki impersonates Tokugawa Ieyasu and his vassals. Usually the Bushoutai show is performed by 6 members but on that day, there were 3 performers due to the other event held on the same day.

Even though there were only half of the usual members on the show, my son was happy because princess 稲姫 “Inahime” who is the daughter of 本多忠勝 “Honda Tadakatsu” was there. She is my son’s favorite!

A lot of people, including visitors from foreign countries gathered when the show started. Chinese tourists were asked to join the dance with the Bushoutai, and they performed well in front of the audience with other volunteer dancers. My son didn’t join the dance, but he seemed satisfied with just watching Inahime.

You can enjoy Bushoutai show at the park every weekend on Saturdays and Sundays starting from 11am and 2pm. Don’t miss it!
